Should I find out the sex of my baby?
There are so many things to think about throughout your pregnancy - it is such an exciting and overwhelming time with so much to plan and organise! But one of the main things you look forward to is knowing the gender of your baby. The news you are so desperate to find out can be revealed at your anomaly scan (around 18-20 weeks) or of course if you are super patient you don't need to find out at all until of course your little one is born! With both my pregnancies I found out the sex of my baby, but I find that most people prefer to wait and be surprised - which I think is brilliant if you have the patience and self restraint to not be tempted into saying 'yes' when asked at your scan. However there should be no pressure towards us mothers about their decision on when they decide to find out the gender of their own baby - there are so many reasons why mothers would choose either option.
